First offering.
Fifth attempt at uploading a pic!
Me and my Tambay collection. I was lucky to source three AMR X Tenariv Chevron B40 kits to do cars Tamaby raced in France, Canada and Japan, but could never find a fourth to a conversion into a B42 raced at Pau in 1978.
In the end I went down an odd route. Kinda back to where I started as a kid. It paper craft meets filler.
I used the plastic sheeting from an old Memorex VHS Video cassette cover to create the body and the rear wing.
Pencil eraser block for the engine and gearbox and paperclips for the suspension and rear wing support. Wheels were poached.
Decals were art worked and printed by me.
Used the Chevron B40s for dimensions to keep them consistent but I think they were a bit oversized when put next to a 1/43 F1 job.
Could maybe be about 5mm shorter.
It was a trial out but in the end I was happy with it so kept it.

Great job! I really like the resourcefulness and the obscure subject matter.

I really like this one, so well done that it is hard to believe that it is scratch-built.

"Sorry, Dear. You can't do the crossword tonight. The eraser is in the car. I mean it is IN the car!" Just a great example of how modeling material is everywhere! I like it!
