After I finish a model, including decals should I apply the gloss coat over entire model, including wheels and rims or just the body?

You certainly can gloss coat over everything which helps the decals and paint to be protected from handling. IMHO putting dullcoat on the tires after the glosscoat gets the right sheen on them and gives some contrast to the rest of the model.

Awesome, thanks for the help. I'm about finished up with Revell's Pruett Pioneer car and wasn't sure.

Well it's my first and I made plenty of mistakes on it, but I'm finishing it. I guess for a first timer it's not tooooo bad.

On the back wing, I used the speedway wing, there are two areas that rise up on top of the wing from front to back. How does the decal go across them and still get a good bond to the top of the wing?

One of two ways: 1. Use a decal setting solution like Micro Set and Micro Sol or Solvaset. These help decals conform to curved or uneven surfaces. 2. Trim the decal to fit in between. Make a photocopy of the sheet and use that to mark your cuts Measure twice, cut once. ;D G

Thanks, I'll rememeber that. I went ahead and used a little glue to see what it would do. It didn't do great, but it doesn't look horrible. Learning as I go. In a matter of a week I've learned a ton from this sight. Can't wait to put it all to use on the next model, which is a Dan Gurney Olsonite Eagle. :-)
