Hey folks...thank you for ALL the GREAT compliments. In my hast to get primer on this puppy...I'd completely spaced on the rear bumper and the trailer hitch. Can't pull a racecar trailer without one of those. Soooo..I started fabing the bumper this morning. I'm using the stock bumper as a base for this bumper. Tread plate will be bent and added to the outside. I want to have at least 13-15 (scale) inches sticking out. It will also be a step to enter the Camper. Thanks for looking in...

Thanks JRASS..for the compliment... Here's an update on the Bumper and Trailer hitch. I'm still debating the thickness(top to bottom) of the bumper. I still might take an inch or two out...

So you made flat diamond plate plastic sheet into that bumper? WOW! Very nice work!

Thanks Jordon...Yea...the Diamond plate is from Don Mills that I picked up 20yrs or so ago. You can still get it from him...This piece was from a trailer that I made back then and it fell apart. That's why it looks so dingy....The basic bumper is from the parts box that came from another truck kit. It had the cut out already. I just heat formed the diamond plate around it. The bumper hitch is from Scenes Unlimited.

An update on this puppy is overdue... The wheel wells are Hogged out and flares added from evergreen strip. The bottom of each flare will be tapered in towards the body. The chassis had to be opened up on each side so the duel tires would fit. The bottom chrome strip and all the badge chrome has been removed. The top chrome strip will stay. Here are a few pics to see what was done...Thanks for looking in... the box with the flared fender opened up the wheel wells on the truck bed(tubed..) With the wheels and chassis in mock-up.... All the TOP stuff on in mock-up for a look. The flares need to be tapered towards the body at the bottoms..but for the most part...it's working...

Thanks for the compliments....Duane and Art. I managed to get the fender flares tapered and in the process of building the Camper hold downs....two to a side. I get that done and then it's engine bay and interior of the truck. Thanks again for stopping in guys...

Here's an update...the body of the truck has been taped, primed and shot with color. It's a duplicolor met red. The undercarriage has been shot with satin black along with the chassis. The front grill along with the rear bumper was shot with ALSA Mirror Chrome. It took a little bit to get the hang of shooting it but I'm happy with the results. It's a little tougher than Alclad. The camper has also been primed and I'll get to the main color(OFF White) with in the next few days. Detail painting is up next along with a few touch-ups on the body. I'll let this GAS out for a few days and then rub it out a tad. Not to much though as this is a working road track. Kept clean but far from a show Truck. Here are a few pics for a look at where it's at... The Primed camper....

The engine is painted and mounted in the chassis. Plug wires will be run next. The front pulley system is drying and will be attached probably wed or thurs. The Body of the Camper was shot an OFF WHITE this morning. I won't mess with that for at least 3-4 days. I want it to completely GAS out before I handle it. The body is pretty much gassed out and that will be touched up in spots and then rubbed out a touch. Here are a few pics of the engine...Thanks for looking in folks.....

Thanks KIP.... Well...this truck is up on ALL 4s and ready for the camper. The tonnaeu cover is on there just for the update pics. The side mirrors and the rest of the chrome trim will be added last. The CB and Radio Antenna's are made and will be mounted then also. Here's a few pics of the interior and Truck. The interior... The Truck on wheels....
