Trevor If Stu doesn't mind I will see what I can do with his art work and I will run a few sets on one of our alps for you if would like. I would have several problems to overcome but it should not be a big deal anyone else interested in a set???

Sure I would be in. I ordered a set of Indycals '61 Dean Van Lines Spl. Watson to start me off but I have no idea how they'll fit the Kuzma.

I would be for 2 or 3 sets. If you included the number 2, the decals could be used for 1955, 1956, and 1957. With the extra number, make that 4 or 5 sheets.

Ok I only spent about 45 minutes on this so far but here is a WIP of the art starting with Stu's great drawing. I added the numbers with the orange outline for the Monza car and redid the map a little nothing is sized correctly or remotely ready for printing also a pic of the Monza car the finished art will not have all the map logos on it maybe I can put on enough for 2 cars if you guys want them. I also need some pics of the 56-57 cars you asked about with the other numbers on them..let me know what you think and also what you want on the sheet.. [a href="  "] [/a] [a href="  "] [/a] |

I think that the same sheet would work for all 3 years. The big difference was that in 56, Bryan was #2. Other than that the markings are mostly the same in the photos that I have. Thanks again for your work on this.

Spent some more time on it I need opinions on the color for the top part of the U S map should it be the dark or light blue this is not the final but I need input on the # 2 I only have 1 pic and I can't see all of the number on it..I really would like some feedback including negative comments I can't make it right if I don't know its wrong....... From the photos that I have, I would go with the dark blue. This looks great, nice work, and again many thanks for your efforts.

I just wanted to let everyone know I have not dropped this project I just have not had the time to sit down and scale these but I should get back to it within the next several weeks. Work and home have been killing me the past several months..

Wow, 6 months since I touched this thing. I finally painted the DVLS good old Tamiya TS26 Pure White tonight. Pics to follow tomorrow. You must try Tamiya TS82 Rubber Black for non rubber/vinyl tires, again: pics tomorrow.

Sorry for the crappy pics. I'm just glad to get paint on something! I'm on a minor roll so I'll be using Indycals '61 DVL markings to get some decals on this. I'm going to try Michael's panel line and Dzus decals on this too.  Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki |
