Kip helped me get a vacuum-formed body of the 1950 winner and I am going to attempt to scratch build the rest of it. I have a couple of questions as I begin. Not to start a discussion, but what color yellow would you suggest? I am going to paint the frame, suspension attachments point and wire wheels red but I am not sure about the yellow. Next, any ideas about what might work as the two chrome intake covers? I understand that Bill Jorgensen did this model years ago but I was never able to get one. I have talked to Gary Doucette about producing one too but my age is catching up and I want to do this. So, any suggestions would be welcome. Thanks, Jim

Jim, Tim Jones built one of these a few years ago. Check out his WIP, or contact him.

Thanks for all the information. I couldn't find the tread so thanks so much for reconnecting me. Would you believe that I even posted on Tim's build. Duh! I thought light yellow was right; just wasn't sure. Tim scratch built the intake covers so that tells me what to do. I sometimes go to a local hardware just to see what they have that might work. You guys are the best. Jim
