American Racing Miniatures have cast a white metal upgrade set of suspension pieces for the 1954 and re-issued Monogram Kurtis-Kraft 500 Roadster. One of Monogram's first plastic kits, this model had a great shape, but was almost toy-like and lacking detail. We have tried to fill that void with our previously issued resin upgrade and nickel silver grills. Now we have finally cast 50 white metal pieces that represent an accurate suspension system for this model. Mastered, but never marketed, by Chris Etzel, these sets sell for $30.00. In addition to the suspension pieces we include four accurate knock offs, a corrected white metal fuel cap and a resin block that mounts and aligns the front axle. We must admit that, despite researching Clidinst drawings and Clymer yearbooks, even we're not sure where all of the pieces go. And each Kurtis 500 differed slightly in detail. With this in mind, we have not included an instruction sheet. Most pieces will be self-explanatory, some you may find researching your specific car, and others, you may have to wing. When we are certain of the placement of ALL pieces, we will write an instruction sheet with images. We will have some images of the pieces on this thread in the next few days.
if interested before we get these on our web site, please send a check or money order for $30.00 + $5.00 S&H to: American Racing Miniatures PO Box 96 Round Hill, VA 20142
