Can anyone identify these wire wheels? I'm in the process of restoring two of Bill Jorgensons resin Novi's. These were the wheels ant tires that came with the kit. 3 of the 4 were fine but this one had old epoxy within the spokes. I was able to remove the epoxy but really bent up the spokes. since it wasn't usable I disassembled it thinking it might be a SE Finecast. sadly it wasn't. the photo-etched lip actually went into the tires groove. Not shown is a metal center which is still stuck on the wire axle. Bottom line, who made these and are they still in business, does anyone have an extra for sale?, etc. Dr Dave

Doc and Frank: They came with Bill's Novi...he could not remember where he got them...then, one day on EBay, I saw them and purchased four sets: 2 had big and smaller fronts; 2 had all bigs (like the Jorgenson kit)...I have used the small ones, and have one set of bigs left...I also have the Novi built with 4 bigs, all painted red...I check "wire wheels" in Models and Kits on EBay regularly, and haven't seen them in several years... Harold Bradford has some wire wheel sets that can be used with the Jorgenson Novi kit. I bought a set of 4 wheels & tires about a year ago from him.

Wow I was cruising back thru time and found this thread. I had purchased a Duke Nalon Novi on eBay that was a BillJ kit and when I saw it had two sets of wire wheels I hit the buy it now immediately. One set was ARMs which I am going to use on a Blue Crown body I have and the other was these which I didn’t know where they came from either. The kit was originally mailed to Michelle Faletti with a note written in the lid to Bob saying the 52 was coming soon. I knew there was Tom but wasn’t sure on Bob you guys may know. Three were together and one was not which took me a while to figure out the PE had to go in a slit in the tire. After I finally pulled it off I was glad I only had to do one lol. Since the they were already together I wasn’t sure how I was going to mask them to paint them red as tape would not stick to the rubber. So this is what I came up with. I put foil on the wheel and inverted the outside rim and trimmed the foil center then turned the trim ring back over and shot them with an airbrush. I really like the wheels as they were larger which fit the body of that Novi. Hope I didn’t bore anybody to bad with this post.
