Has anybody ordered from Scale Hardware recently, are the still in business?
If they are gone, any ideas where we can get rivets, bolts etc etc from?
thanks in advance

Chris - Go to JoAnne fabrics for your rivets. Buy straight pins that have a head on them. They make great rivets and come in all different sizes. And they are cheap! Bolts, etc. are another issue. Sorry, but I have no idea regarding Scale Hardware.

I was on his site a month or so ago and he said that he would be gone because of some type of family situation. Now I can't his site to pop up. Hopefully he will be back soon as he has great products and service.

Chris,
Not a direct replacement for Scale Hardware, but depending on the size of the rivet you need, I have used resin decal rivets from Micromark (similar to Archer) with good success.
Again, not a direct replacement, but Pro Tech has photoetch nut and bolt heads that I use on everything. If you need the bolt portion to hold something together, you can use wire or styrene rod and add the head. Shameless plug- I have them available on my site.

Really sad to hear that Scale Hardware has closed down. I have contacted Robert Bentley to ask him if he's interested in adding some of the Scale Hardware type of items. Maybe if he heard that there was interest..... www.rbmotion.com/index.php?route=common/homePaul Erlendson
