Nice! Right now I'm leaning toward building the Talbot first. What are you plans for decals Michael. Are you going to do the louvers again as you did with the Alfa?

Simply paint detailing the plug wires suits me just fine. The plug wires on the Alfa left me so cross-eyed that I put it aside and started fiddling with the Talbot. Now that the Fangio decals are inbound I'll go back to the Alfa. Good stuff Michael.

Not ready yet. I got my updated parts on Saturday but they sent me an Alfa grille instead of a Talbot grille, and I need to see the grille before I release it. I assume someone who ordered an Alfa update kit got the Talbot grille

I now have one on the bench and Rosier decals are inbound. The detailing looks great and the packaging from Shapeways was excellent. As I build the TL T26 I will also be test fitting the engine to the Heller T26C chassis. I think the engine mod to side draught Zenith carbs should be do-able. Also found another possibile source for wire wheels, digital printed by 3Dmodelparts.com, they look pretty good so I've ordered a set. Probably too wide but I can narrow them if needed. www.3dmodelparts.com/1-24-1-25-wire-wheels-15-inch-60-spoke/

First: Very nice Michael? The whole model looks great and your engine really adds a lot to the model. Now, I would like to talk to you about the color that you selected. In my research most of the color photos I've found have been of the cars as they appear today. That also includes an episode of Legendary Motorcar. In looking at those references the blue looks much lighter that the standard French blue that we think of. Since a number of members of this site like nothing better than a good color controversy, I thought that I would start one. Truly, I had been thinking of going with a lighter blue. Am I possibly seeing fading of the paint in these cars that I have referenced? I bring this up only in the spirit of the fun "anality" of our hobby. Paul Erlendson
