Was saddened to see that Target is leaving Indycar at the end of the year. They have been with Chip for 27 years. I have been a loyal Target shopper since they entered Indycar - their loyalty earned mine.
I'm sure Chip will come up with funding, but it's just sad to see them go. They almost always had great designs that looked good and clearly showed off the sponsor.
Thanks Target. Sorry to see you go.

Had not read that yet but they have been a great motorsports sponsor so hate to see them go. I would think they would be the longest currently running primary sponsor in IndyCar. It would be interesting to see all of the Target Penskes, Lolas, Reynard, GForces, and Dallaras that have been built and customized by the guys here over their 27 years in the sport.

Not good news for the series, for sure. Not many full time sponsors left. Somewhat of a surprise, for me, since Target had a real advantage over other sponsors, in that they could "encourage" their suppliers to buy space on the cars. Makes me wonder, what the future is for TK. Racing, in most forms, is in real trouble and nobody seems to have the cure.
