I've been working - for a long time - on an extensively modified Tamiya Lotus 49 before wings, etc were added, to model the Gold Leaf liveried car that Hill drove at Jarama, Spain in 1968. This is a return to modeling after decades away. A couple of months ago, I asked Michael at IndyCals whether he could make some changes to the sheet of decals he produces for this car and race. All the decals I've seen, including Tamiya's, make the 'Gold Leaf Team Lotus' logo on the side of the car too large and I wanted full white roundels behind the number, as these contrast slightly with the white on the body. Michael made the changes almost immediately and the decals, now added, look wonderful. I'm nearing the end of the work and will post some pictures, including work-in-progress, in due course. BTW: I've collected many photos from the web of different versions of the Lotus 49 during its racing life and after, including - whatever I could find - details of the Ford DFV, subframes, suspension, brakes, cockpit... If anyone is interested in details of a specific area/part, they can contact me.

Way to give cudos to Michael. Much deserved and your Lotus looks great!
