I just finished this evening a replica of the McLaren M15 Peter Revson drove in the 1970 Indianapolis 500. Revson got a golden opportunity to drive for McLaren when Denny Hulme burned his hands in a practice crash and couldn't race in the 500. He qualified 16th and finished 22nd when he was kayoed by magneto failure. Revson would have better days at the Speedway. He'd start a McLaren on the pole and finish second the next year. He won the Can-Am championship, poles at each of the Triple Crown races and also won two Formula One races in 1973. Revson proved that he was more than a wealthy young man who had the money to race cars. He was a talented racer who mixed it up with the best of that era. Sadly he died before his time in a crash in South Africa testing a Shadow in 1974, but through his skill as a racer and as a writer he lives on. His autobiography "Speed with Style" is a must-read for any racing fan. This is the incredible Lance Sellers kit and it went together without a hitch. It's painted TS-56 and and I used Indycals superb decals. Both Michael and Lance went out of their way to make an incredible building experience. If you have this kit I can't encourage you enough to build it, you'll be richly rewarded. Thanks for looking!

Just super, Jerry. You really crank them out. Revson was a great talent, lost way too soon.

That is a sharp looking car. I imagine that blue and orange really pops in the sunlight. Nice job, Jerry, and I always like the history lessons.

Beautiful car. You did a great job putting it together.
I agree that Peter's book "Speed with Style" is a good read. I have a lot of those old autobiographies and biographies and really enjoy opening them up every once in a while for some real entertainment. I think one the best racing books I have read it Sam Posey's "Mudge Pond Express". It was a great era and your model captured it beautifully.
