Our own Art won two awards at Chris' SoCal NNL with his Silver City Lola T332! With my poor hearing I didn't hear what they were for. Pipe up Art...you earned the bragging rights!! Well done.

And our own Bobby Cicconi won First Place in 1/24-1/25 Open Wheel Competition Race Cars at the Northern Virginia IPMS Model Classic in Fairfax, VA. on Saturday. His model, the 1957 Kuzma Dean Van Lines roadster driven at Indy by Jimmy Bryan, was derived from Gary Doucette's kit and was just beautiful. Corrections, finish, suspension, and decals were awesome.

Patrick Thanks for the shoutout, Patrick! It was good to see you. I actually didn't win with the Lola this time, well not the T-332 anyway. While it was a popular display, I got the Indy celebration award for my old AMT Lola T-88 build from a few years back. But I also got the People's Choice Best of Show for a replica of the 1934 Edsel Model 40 Speedster I just finished for a friend of mine. It's not technically open wheel, or even a race car, so I didn't post it here, but here are a couple of pics anyway Thanks for your compliments, guys, and congratulations Bobby C.! Also, thanks to Chris Hale and his lovely wife Yolanda for all the hard work they did putting together the show. It's always a good time.

Edsel's car was an amazing car in real life, so glad to see it in scale. Congratulations to the both of you, Bobby and Art. Proud to know you both. --Frank
