I've finished my 312B. Bought as a partly started kit from one of the members here on the forum. I bought Michaels decals for Andretti's 1971 South African GP winning car... his only GP win for Ferrari. I bought Michaels tire ring decals as well but, try as I might, I can never get them to work. Thank God Michael includes the white logos as well. After trying several ways to paint the rims, none of which came out to my liking, I opted to just paint them Gloss Gold. For those of you who have never had the misfortune to experience this, here's a shot of the rear tires in my Lotus 49b kit.

Nicely done, Mark! Glad someone got some use out of my "cast-offs"! I have several older Tamiya kits that have lost their tires due to that disease! I even have a Heller Renault that did the same thing. The funny thing is, some kits lose all their tires, but others only fronts OR rears, not both. Makes me think they farmed them out to different vendors or used different formulae of rubber at different times. Never cared much for the plastic tires Heller put in the 1/12 Ligier kit, but now I think maybe they were a good idea.

Makes me wonder if that is what happened to my 1/12 P 34 front tire. Only one of the four with what looked like a high speed blow out. I have no explanation for what happened to mine but now I wonder it is the same issue.
Beautiful model by the way, it turned out very nice. Well done.

Icon Automotive sells replacement tires/wheels for some of the Tamiya kits, not for the P34 unfortunately. The tires are a bit pricey though at $68.00 a set.
