I am Olivier, 43, frenchman
I build models since I was 10 year old, I think
Although I am F1 fan I've always appreciated racing in US Indy is for me the greatest race with Monaco GP
In modelling as many I begun by planes then cars in plastic kit In middle 90s like the offer in F1 from Tamiya decrease I begun 1/43 multimedia kits with more and less luck
Today craftmen of 1/43 kits disappear one by one (under economic hammer of diecast producters) and I rediscover with pleasure my first love with explosion of 1/20 kits from Fujimi, Ebbro, ... and many japanese garage kits
I am also interested by end of 60s Indianapolis cars since children I saw a terrific picture of STP Paxton turbine in "L'Année Automobile 1967" in the personnal library of my father. Woah...
20 years later I bought "Indianapolis Racing Memories 61-69" of Dave Friedman and that was a real shock for me ! (in these days Internet was in early days and in France documentation on this topic was very rare)
If french modelling forums are certainly the best for Matra or Ligier adventure (I love Matra also), for Indianapolis cars your forum are the best expertise and the place to be for open wheels lover

I will post soon few older built in 1/20 and 1/43 (formula one)
Actually I work on several open wheels models (too much) = 312T3 Tamiya 1/20 (my second built of this kit, 25 year after), Ligier JS11 Tamiya, Lotus 38 SMTS 1/43 and (but in very irregular time) Jordan 198 Tameo 1/43
One day I want work on 1/20, and sometimes aftermath I want 1/43.... I love the two scale (and 1/24 also)
Pleasure is little bit different
