Hello "Newbie" here from Queensland Australia :
Real Name "Rob".
Apologies as I "jumped the gun" and have already posted after just finding this great Site so this is my second Post.
Long time Modeller and "real" Motor Racing fan from the early 70s (hence the interest in F5000 and not just F1).
"Real" Motor Racing heros include Ronnie Peterson, Alan Jones, and Mark Webber (the "unofficial" Forum of whom must use the same software as this Forum as the functionality - and not to mention Account e-mail - is the same!). Used to try to get to as many Motor Racing meets as I could when younger but in old age have only been to the odd meeting the last of which was the 2011 AGP.
Mainly model open wheelers in 1:20 and 1:12 but have bought some 1:24 and 1:25 kits and 1:18 diecasts as subjects take my fancy. Main failing is lack of spare time so the so called "stash" keeps growing.
Looking forward to visiting here on a regular basis now that I've found it.
Regards
Rob

Great to have you, Rob. I see a lot of shared interests in your intro.
Introductions are nice but not required and certainly they do not have to be a first post.
Looking forward to you sharing more of your knowledge and builds.

Hello again :
Thanks Guys and Jordan (I'm assuming you are the Bossman of the Site?) for the welcome and kind words.
Please don't hold your breath for any built photos as not only can't I find the time but I'm also a very slow builder (just ask my Wife!).
However you never know I may surprise with a bit of a go at something unusual as in other modelling I have been known to scratch build something if it takes my interest. Already have something in mind (as you might have guessed from the "research" in the F5000 Thread) but still trying to get more information. As a hint - if only Brabham had a Drawing Archive like Lola, March, and even an Aussie Constructor like Bowin I'd have no trouble at all making a start! If anyone knows something I don't by all means let me know!
Anyway thanks again and look forward to visiting regularly.
Best Regards
Rob

Yea! Our F5000 group is growing! Thanks for joining us Rob. I'm exclusively a 1/24-1/25 guy, but if I can help in any way let me know! My interest in Indy this year is the rookie drive of Matt Brabham, grandson of Sir Jack! I got to meet him and his dad Jeff at Sears Point this Summer for tire testing. It was a great thrill for this Brabhamfile! I have many projects in mind, but I am trying to finish a !/24 Frank Matich SR-3 CanAm car that a fellow Aussie made as a resin slot car body. Welcome! Patrick
PS- I'm in Northern California!
