Hi Jordan, Thanks for the article on one of my all time favorite drivers! ;D Jimmy's stats were incredible to say the least. He was the epitome of consistency, if he had only had a ride that was more durable, and if he had lived, who knows! It appears that Louis Hamilton is cut from the same cloth as Jimmy and Michael. He had an unbelievable rookie year! I did get to see Jimmy's short lived NASCAR race in '67 at the Rock. Not the greatest track to have your first ride at. And he was in one of Pearson's back up cars! Intersting was that he did NOT carry a YELLOW rookie stripe, instead the bumper was painted *cream*. I never got the story about that, but I feel it might have been an honor to his being the defending F-1 Champion and not a true *Rookie* as such. Bill

Oh, Hugh quoted an article where it was mentioned that Jim Clark's tire temps were EQUAL on all four tires.......... impossible, but true. And the same was present at Indy as well as the road courses. This was with out traction control, etc., and the cars were just not as sophisticated! 49.5% of his races he won, and he only crashed out of 2 F-1 races!
