2014 Pennzoil DW12 Chevy - Helio Castroneves

As a part of my re-issue here in a couple weeks I'm going to do a WIP of the beautiful 2014 Pennzoil DW12 that Helio got a close 2nd place with. It was a very exciting finish and Helio was my pick and we came so close to getting that famous Pennzoil yellow scheme back into victory lane at Indy!





I spent the winter tweaking some things and sharpening up some of the lines. I just can't believe that this kit started out as a balsa wood carving a couple days I got out of the hospital in 2013....and now look at it! It's really turned into a fantastic looking kit! I just want to thank you for all that have helped out along the way, I really appreciate it!




One of the things I'm really excited about is the new White Metal parts for this kit! Which for the Penske cars can be polished up to look like chrome!

Looks like you've really worked hard on this one Calvin. With your reissue might we expect any new decal sheets from Indycals? I really would love to see a sheet for JPM Pocono winner.

Calvin, your updates on the DW12 kit look great. This has come so far from the rough first cut you showed us years ago. Money is a bit tight right now but this is on the short list to save up to buy.
