Hi, guys! I initially posted this first photo in the announcement thread, and it looks like maybe I should have started a dedicated build thread, so here goes. I purchased this 1:20 Ebbro kit mainly as a test mule for a reclining driver figure, but why not go ahead and build it, right? One of the first things I noticed was that the seat included in the kit had hard plastic shapes for what looked to be thin pieces of vinyl and foam on the real car. I cheated and left the seat out, and you'll see why. This rough putty shape is a sizing model and basis for the reclining figure. Doesn't look like much, but the putty figure was 3D scanned and brought into a prgram to refine and detail it. Much later here it is, printed, molded, cast, painted etc. Even with all the fiddling I did, it still needed some messing with to sit right. Now back to building the model!

Fantastic paint job on Jimmy, and the car is coming along nicely also.

some good builders posting on here. I never got one of these kits. I have a lot of 49 stuff but not this kit.

Very nice and love the figure. Isn't this just a 49 though and not a 49B?
