While I threw my support behind the IRL for the most part, that doesn't mean I couldn't appreciate the cars and drivers in CART. So, here's my first model from that era, Helio's 2000 Reynard, with the intent of making his Detroit winner, his first win. Standard Revell kit, with Speedline decals. The decals were actually a bit too big, so there is some, ah, alternative placement of some and some fudging in others. But overall, I thought it turned out pretty good.

Glad to see a Reynard on the board - I love these kits! Lots of good details that I appreciate here like the chrome suspension, custom Castroneves decals, white roll hoop, no shark fin, fuel filler on the correct side for Detroit, etc..... The year 2000 was the payoff year after many faithful years of struggles by my favorite team!
Good job on this one - it turned out very well!

Thanks guys. Duke, that's regular 'ol Rustoleum chrome paint. I'd never tried it before, but I thought it worked pretty well!

MCW WEBSITE www.mcwautomotivefinishes.com/paint/catalog.htmlThere paint is true automotive paint and will need a clear coat. It is expensive but goes a long way. The colors are dead on and he has a list of several racing colors. Also the paint dries to the touch with in 10 minutes or so.
