One thing I enjoy about the Reynards is the various configurations that ran - interesting to see '98 kickups on the '99 car. I am excited about this one Shayne. I like the engines, been wanting to paint one up since I got mine. Jordan

Thanks Jordan, I love these cars and the fact CART allowed teams to have different sponsorship on the cars, they made colourful grids.

The cutting has commenced and I have to say scribing these bodies up wasn't too hard at all. So I have separated the front section of the floor to be able to get the drivers seat etc in later, also removed the A arms so I can blend the nose to look like a solid item. The engine cover has been separated again to show off the Honda power plant and the rear fin has been taken off. So time to sand and then prime.

I've heard nothing but horror stories about those decals. I have this kit but am hesitant to start it because of the decal problem. I'd love to do Zinardi's car.

Those Revell Reynard decals are really starting to get bad.....I have a few I like to steal off of and, YES! every time I do they seem to get worse and worse. They are VERY mean.

Doesn't Indycals do the decals for this car?
Yeah, those decals were bad. They didn't have any "stick" to them. I have to say that the Eagle on the nose of the, well Eagle, went on pretty well (which surprised me) these were great kits IMO, and they are getting expensive. I picked up a couple at the IPMS show here in Indy last month, when I got home there were two kits in one box!!!!

Never did that car because the kits had decals - didn't realize there was a problem with them. Went on fine when I built one.

I was baffled, as well, by the talk of the Revell Reynard decals not sticking! I had no problems with the decals, at all. Maybe the problem is the age of the sheets? --Frank
