Not 100% sure if this is the right forum or not to show these cars. There had been some conversation about 1/43 scale Indy cars, both manufactures were mentioned. Yes the John Day product was crude but at the time (late 70's early 80's there was not much available in North America). Just a few shots of the cars I built a long time ago. Time has not treated some of them well, I should have supported the chassis to prevent the suspensions from bending with the weight, they are heavy models. They now seem to be too fragile to try to repair. Sorry for the crappy photos and sorry if I posted this in the wrong area. I am Canadian you know we are always sorry for something!! Very cool. It's a part of the history of 1/43. The kit parts may not be modern, the builds look good.

Thanks guys. As I recall they were not the easiest kits to build and they probably pale in comparison with some of the kits being manufactured today. I am shocked at the weight of them. I should have cleaned them up before taking the pictures they had sat in a sealed case for many years. I best get dusting.
I am amazed at the detail that I see in many WIP threads on here. I have seen this level of detail in all scales but you must have some very steady hands and great eyesight to achieve the level of detail in 1/43 scale that some people do.
Truly spectacular the standards of workmanship and innovation on this forum.

It's great to see these old kits built! Very nice job, especially considering what you had to work with. Shows that even these relatively simple kits can provide good results if you're willing to do the work. Thanks again for sharing.

Finally figured out how to copy and paste the original Precision Miniatures printed sheet. I have all of the ones on the bottom panel but have never seen the Ferrari or Porsche models. Thought you might be interested.

Great stuff! Had never seen that PM brochure before. The PM kits are pretty neat if you can get your hands on some. EBay has them from time to time. I got all 4 '70s Indy cars from auctions there over the past couple of years.
