Sad news. I just learned that legendary sprint car builder Bob Trostle died a few weeks ago. For those who may not be familiar with him, Trostle was a major figure in sprint car racing in the Midwest for many years. He lived and built cars in Des Moines, Iowa and was a fixture at Knoxville. He was probably best known for his years as the car owner/mechanic for Doug Wolfgang and Shane Carson. R.I.P

That is sad. I remember him with Shane Carson when I was following the World of Outlaws.

Truly one of the greats in sprint car history. Great book to read is his autobiography "life's tough on the circuit" which came out earlier this year. Duane
