Here's my first effort into the 1:43 world. I used a toy diecast Lolo to begin with. From there, I had to rebuild the front and rear from scratch. Also scratched built all of the suspension pieces. (Not real happy with this but learned a lot. Added different rear wheels/tires which is closer to scale. Added tire decals from Michael. Added seat belts and cockpit area. All decals are from Michael. The last image shows what I started with.

No matter what scale, you just keep cranking them out, Terry. Looks good! We still have one "machine".

Nice stuff! 1/43 really is my scale and love to see more of these. So far, I'm enjoying this scale. Hugh selection which is what I'm looking for. Cars are expensive but the detail (Spark Models) is tremendous.

Very impressive. I had one of those Rahal cars back when. They were a Shell giveaway at gas stations and much more of a toy than anything else. Nice work!

Minichamps also has various 1993-1996 models on their shelve, they are picked up from eBay for fairly low prices to use it as donors for other cars. I'm using 2 for making 2 1993 Luyendyk cars with decals from Indycals.
