Why hasn't anyone done this in 1/20 or some affordable scale? Lance, Kevin, Gary, Beuhler, anybody.

Kinda puzzled by the sudden influx of 1/12 scale kits. I'm guessing they are due to the influx of 1/20 plastic F1 kits by Ebbro, Fujimi, Hasegawa that seems to have trampled on MFH territory. But aside from a Lotus 78 I have in my to-do pile, I have no interest in doing any more 1/12 scale kits - they are too big and the detail you can get out of 1/20 exceeds that you could get from 1/12 30 years ago.

MFH did the car in 1/20 a few years back. On the announcement page of F1M, someone was talking about needing to sell their 1/20 now. 1/20 MFH's go for around $300 but can go for less depending on how much of a loss the seller is willing to take.

At one time, I was going to have Gary make this car, but looking at the engine, transaxle, and headers, I pulled the plug. The MFH kit is expensive, but worth it if you just have to have a F1 Eagle.

I have a 1966 Ferrari 312 F1 car in 1/12th that I bought from Classic Models Museum. Talk about a hunk of junk. Blob resin galore. I have been working on it on & off for over a year but it has so many pieces that need to be re-done. It's like this big challenge to finish her and make it nice. I actually want to build it into the Sarti car from the movie Grand Prix some day.
I am interested in the hammerhead Tyrrell that came out recently from Tamiya though. Just finding time to build one is a big factor. Also interested in the Trumpeter GT 40 MKII.

If they sell the Eagle for what they sell the '67 F1 Ferrari then this what you can get it for at MacsModeling.com
68,000.00 JPY = 554.419 USD (current exchange rate)

I can't get the web site to work. Never have been able to get it to work.
i went to the MacsModeling site and it does not work either. I was thinking about buying a transaxle for a Lotus 49. Get an error code.
I would consider spending the money to have a 1/12 Eagle. It's kind of a bucket list item for me.

I'll build the Lotus 34 is Craig buys and builds a 1/12 Eagle Weslake...... He might have to trade in his zoom zoom but, oh well at least we would get to see a wonderful WIP!

Sorry, Calvin, not gonna happen. That's too bad, I thought you really wanted that Lotus 34, but if no one really wants it then whats the point....shoot! That's too bad. I've come to realize that if someone really wants a model they will do just about anything to get it....so if no one can prove to me that they want a Lotus 34 then I can't risk the money to do one.....

Is the number 65 Daytona Coupe in the photos the 427 version that was not finished back then?
Will they do the British built Italian bodied 289 Coupe next?

Lots of would like a Lotus 34, Calvin, but we have lived without it for many years. I, for one am good for a few more. If you can't handle it, just say so, and you are off the hook. I, for one, won't do almost anything for a kit. If money won't get the job done, I move on.

Total bass azz I would love to see a WIP on this kit, since it's never gonna happen, for me. It's a "too" kit for me. Too big, too much money, and too much time. If anybody has the 1/20 they want to get rid of, I'm interested.

I think I will buy a 1/20th kit to practice on. There is a Lotus type 43 I have my eye on. That engine in that thing is insane. My other choice will be the Eifelland as I think it was just so cool of a design.
