I'm pretty much out of parts and pieces to assemble another Eagle based F5000, but an idea arrived, unbidden, to my fevered brain, that I have to try: A frame A couple of things Some marking Some rough fitting Some rough trimming And it may turn into a generic March F5000. Sadly for my legions of fans, this will be all until after Turkey day and the weekend of recovery thereof. . . , but I do intend to keep at this. I think the nose will work, that being the fussiest part.

Zowie! A March F5000!!! Excellent plastic fabrication! I am envious! This could be applied to a March F1 also! There are many liveries for F1 Marchs. Here are a couple of F5000 March cars I saw... Great work and I'm anxious to watch your fabrication work! By the way I am part of your legions of fans! Mas! Mas! Patrick

A little more on the nose I made a bracket to mount the radiators on- also that's where the suspension links will go And the cockpit surround The major shapes are getting there- just lotso fine shaping to do. . .

I'm starting to add some mechanical bits Also working on the cockpit surround with some flares on the sides I'm clamping that piece to a flat surface because the plastic is thin and lots of gluing may cause it to warp.

This may be my last post this year. . . . I have modified the seat using a piece from an IMC Lola 70, and also changed the rear frame. Beginning to figure out the rear suspension and wheels. I think the WB and tracks will be a bit less than the Lola dimensions. I hope every one has a happy and safe Holiday season.

Patrick, I saw Stuck practice on Saturday before the 76GP at Watkins. It was raining like mad and he was the only to go out in that session. I wandered around when the rain let up but not much going on. I was able to spend lots of time in the tech center, especially looking at the 6wheel car. Slept in my car watched the race the next dat, drove home and faced a bunch of 8th graders on Monday. Ah the good old days. . .

Starting on the last major element, the BHS (Big Honking Scoop) The tray on the left will sit atop the pipes, the thick part in middle will represent the "stovepipe" and the two pieces will be the sides of the scoop itself. Filling in the scoop And so. . . Now I am ready to prime and paint!

Really great work. Sometimes I look at the first pic in the process and go "huh?" but by the time it is worked on the part looks right on the car.

Getting close- just some touching up to do. . . This is supposed to represent a low-buck non factory entry- a generic March F5000 with a few generic markings on it. It's also supposed to look orange-er than these pix.

Add some more sponsor decals...it looks naked! (not to be snarky...the cockpit looks a bit short to me...stupid time to mention it.).
