This is a pic of my dad with the supermodified he built over the winter of 1963-64...We were living in Phoenix, AZ at the time and this photo was taken at Manzanita Speedway. As best I can remember, my father said he bought an old Indy roadster and converted it (shortened the wheelbase, changed hubs, added cage, etc.) into a dirt track super. As I recall, back then a sprint car had only a roll bar and a super had a roll cage...For some moronic reason I did not take enough interest while my dad was alive to ask him in detail about this car.
My question to you all is...Is there enough of the old Indy car visible to ascertain what make it might have been? Thank you for your interest!
