Just as Aoshima/Beemax announced they were going to update their great MP4/2 kit to 1985 specs, I had already that conversion in progress. I used some decals for the 1986 MP4/2C for the decals and scratch built the rear wing end plates. The MP4/2 collection so far: 1984 and 1985 McLarens

Very nice work Brian and both teammates, too! I always like team shots and cars from consecutive years are fun to compare to see all of the changes you did. Do you have a preference for the '84 or '85 style? The red looks sharp, too, what paint did you use on these?

Thanks guys!
Jordan: the paint is Tamiya white and fluorescent red. I'm not sure I have a favorite of the MP4/2 series. The 1984 cars were neat with the winglets, but Keke's 1986 yellow M@r1b0r0 lights car was definitely eye catching.

I know what you mean, the winglets are cool on the '84 but the '85 is a clean look that I like, too. The lights car will stand out in a lineup of MP4/2s, would love to see it if you decide to make it!

Way nice work. I too like seeing the car and subsequent year's cars together.
