I am Frank Gazvoda and a disable Army vet. Not new to the website but researching Gordon Smiley's crash led me to meet a Trevor Michener(trevor83) on this very sight who works for Dale Coyne Racing. He leads the not-for-profit group called the Indy Pit Crew. His group does a build for a veteran every off season. I was the 7th project. It is located near IMS and was built in 5 days by the IndyCar community. Google the #speedway5hundred project to see cool videos and stories. It made Espn and NBCSports.com as well as IndyCar.com and RacerTV with Robin Miller. I am looking for anyone who has a Fletcher Racing Decal from 1982 or parts from Gordon's crash. I have someone building me a model and need a detailed decal. All are welcome to stop by and check out the Firestone Garage mancave. Thanks to everyone! And thanks to Senn65 for building a great tribute model that led me to such more more. And to know my house project was built on the 33rd anniversary of his last ride! RIP Gordon and all others we have lost.

Ralph S. used an 84 PC chassis on his I think. Its a lot of modification for an 81' March. Gordon's 82 March was still under construction at time of wreck

He crashed an 81' March in 1982. His 82' was still under construction. The team was new and trying to field two cars as Desiree Wilson was the driver of the second car. Her car never got close to being up to speed. George Snider qualified and drove the #36 Intermedics car in the race.

Yes, I believe Ralph used the Carousel 1 March 84C as the base for his build.
