Keeping with the F5000 theme, I've decided to repurpose an Olsonite Indy Eagle.    I've gotten the decals from Michael. This will be a simple, no mask paint job. More to come. |

This is going to be interesting as I am trying to do the same thing - take a previous work and turn it into something different. Many years ago I took an un-built Olsonite Eagle kit and did a semi-decent job on an F-5000 car. Then got the bright idea to try to turn it back into Gurney's car and never did anything beyond repaint what had been a pretty good job.
It's been years since I've really tried something like this, so your job will be a good guide. Showing my ignorance, what did you use to strip the old paint? I started sanding but it seemed to kill some of the body details. Then I went to paint thinner.
Good luck with the build. Can't wait to follow more.

I was lucky enough to see this car race at Laguna. It will be a fun project to follow. I'll do Wintersteen's car and I'll make it from a Frankenstein collection of parts. They are the most fun!

Master it is a Chevy. From a 1949 sedan, only 6 cyl, but I got such a deal.

Dr. Lou Sell would love it! It was eerie to see this car modeled Knowing that I saw the car win its race at Laguna. A great F5000 Continental Series car!
