I knew I would get a fast reaction out of the comment I made.
Yeah, not all rock is bad or its singers....I was mainly thinking of the people that listen to real weird stuff that take it and really try living it....that devilish strange stuff.
I've had friends when grown up be very good likeable and even talk about racing with me.....and then all of a sudden they start listing to this whatever rock N roll stuff and they literally start trying to live like it! They start dressing gothic like, they have greasy hair, they start doing drugs, and they start saying music is my life? ...then I'm sitting there like, what happen to the good ol' boy I used to talk with?......I've had that happen more than once to me in my life.
So the twisted hard rock music thing always kinda puzzles me.....so my opinion still stands on it being not all good on persons mind no matter how educated person it.
and BTW I hate the Halloween holiday as well!
from day one I've always thought it was twisted holiday and something to steer clear of!

Strange--I've been around since before R&B transformed into Rock & Roll, R&R transformed into Psychedelic, that became Heavy Metal, etc, and I think Gothic is kind of neat! Ijust don't make it my life! I guess you've got to go to the clubs and watch it grow! I even find Gangster Rap' to be educational: I've learned a lot of profane words from the medium! --Frank

Let's get back to something more serious. Again, what color were the wasp's spark plugs?

Let's get back to something more serious. Again, what color were the wasp's spark plugs? As far as I know there were just regular ol' white porcelain.....with a copper top and rubber base thingy.

you know you're teasing the hell out of us making us watch a WIP without having one in our own hands. duane There's two WIPS and neither one of us can finish it as of right now... Calvin doesn't have decals and I don't have all the parts. I have a Fred Cady sheet....I can just use those!

Looks like the spark plug wiring is going to be tricky--as I recall, the 'plug end of the wires were held on by the nut on top of the electrode on the porcelain insulator. Looks like the 'plug nuts will need to be cut off and an eyelet end fabricated, then the nuts glued back on. Fortunately, the early high-voltage cable were a little on the large side... See! I'm already building this beauty! --Frank

I'm a so-called "youngster" and I knew who won the 1973 Indy 500 before ever knowing who Led Zep was....(honest to goodness TRUTH) I don't know a thing about music. Also, rockstars scare the hell out of me - I believe it's bad for the brain....all those demons, drugs, sex, and twisted thinking! ...I'm way too conservative for that stuff! Queen guitarist Brian May has a PhD in Astrophysics Iron Maiden singer Bruce Dickinson is a commercial airline pilot who has flown a chartered 757 on several Iron Maiden tours. (I heard he'll be flying a 747 on their 2016 tour). He is also an accomplished fencer who was invited to join the British Olympic team in the 80s. He also used to do regular passenger commercial routes when not touring. Rush singer/bass player Geddy Lee is a wine connoisseur and baseball fan who made a huge donation of historic memorabilia to the Negro League Hall of Fame, and Rush drummer Neil Peart is an accomplished author and generally regarded as one of the smartest people in rock, earning him the nickname "Professor". Who frontmen Roger Daltry and Pete Townshend use their celebrity to raise money for Children's Cancer care. ... and Rod Stewart is a fellow modeler - model railroads Don't forget Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason. He has a world class vintage and race car collection including a '62 Ferrari 250 GTO that raced at Le Mans. He's a respected member of the historic racing community participating in events including the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Cal and Michael- The Wasp is looking awesome! Sandy

I'm most concerned about the rear view mirror detail. It will photo etched, won't it?

I'm most concerned about the rear view mirror detail. It will photo etched, won't it? Paul Erlendson There's this product called duct tape...real duct tape... aluminum tape that is actually used for taping ducts. Works really well. Unless you want to pay an extra $10 a kit just to have me photo-etch a mirror that would stick-out like a sore thumb and won't be nearly as mirror-like.

You know! To make this thread even more outragous I think I should do a 24hr live web-cam of me working on this Wasp at my work bench! Raw! Unedited, unrated, and unscripted!...I'd make sure to stick my freaking hot model building girlfriend in there too once in a while to get the ratings up! Bahahaha! The people that can't handle humor are just absolutely hating this thread!

6:02 AM--been up for over two hours here in Florida! Feed the animals, fix the lunch, get work-ready, then fix breakfast and go on-line to see what's new on the forum. Found this 45 minute old post. Model building must wait until after seven, this evening, when I get home from work! Nice to others are up and at 'em! --Frank

No worms for this Early Bird (cutting back on meat), but I do get to see Calvin's great WIPs early! One thing I wonder about is does Calvin stay up late, get up early, never sleep, or all of the above? You're right, racerbrown, this is like breakfast with friends each morning! --Frank

Now Michael P. is the one that doesn't sleep.....the lights never go out at the World HQ of MP2 Hobbies.
