Looks like it just uses wax to create the vac-u-formed templates provided. I don't think its designed for metal in any way.

As I recall, the machine heated the "wax" sticks, and forced the stuff into a mold. You could buy replacement "wax", and more molds would be available later. The mold was a reverse of the finished car, so no, you couldn't just put a metal car in it. --Frank
