From the Movie RUSH

Hi guys after watching RUSH I was able to aquire these 2 kits in 1/24th scale . I didn't want to do the 1/20th scale and I also scored an old WAVE resin kit of the Tyrrell P34 that Scheckter drove . I have a 1976 M23 McLaren in 1/20th scale I'm probally get rid of , its the low intake scoop style car .

The company, Tokyo Marui has been around for awhile. I built my first McLaren when it first came out back in the early 80s...LOL I did it in 10 hours. They are nice kits hampered by the Mubuchi motor sized engine. I cut the flat-12 down and resized it to be more correct. The Cosworth is a bit more of a challenge, but cuts down well as the crappy Hewland does, too. This cutting down does take some planning, but it does work...unless you have some spare Heller Cosworth units. I still looking for the Tyrrell 007 kit. I have two in process 312T cars , one modified as a T2! I will get back to them one of these days...
