Well, qualifying is over and I have to get this out of the way: I am THRILLED with the performance of Rubens Barrichello (my favorite F1 driver) and the whole Brawn GP team. Great job putting both cars on the front row. Okay now, I know it's early but I am really excited about the new cars and hopefully the changes will translate to great on track action all season long.

I thought last yeats F1 cars were the worst looking things I had ever seen, but these are way worse. They make those ugly IRL Dallaras look good. Good to see somebody else on the front row however. Craig

I totally agree Professor!
Or a nice Tyrrel Ford driven by Jackie Stewart, or a Lotus driven by Mario Andretti. These cars today are ugly1......Even the ones at Indy are ugly too. Nothing says racing better than a Watson Roadster.
Best to you

Well, the race had some interesting moments. RB blowing the start but the car showing great pace despite the lap one issues. The juggernaut teams of Ferrari and Mclaren struggling to match pace with the lesser teams at least in this round. Some questionable pass attempts by guys who should probably know better. Could there be a changing of the guard? Next round is one week away in Malaysia and I for one can't wait.

Ok, I watched the race this afternoon and I have to agree that the cars look ugly. I've seen a couple of these massive rule changes through my years of following F1 and it always seems that the cars look terrible through the first few years following the rule changes. I'm not sure if the color on my TV is going off or I was just imagining it, but is the color of the Ferrari much darker then it has been in the past few years? The color almost looked like the old Ferrari blood red.

I believe the color of the Ferraris changed after Schumacher retired in 2006.

It changed late in the season in 2007 Season opener (old style)... ...all the way to the Italian GP.... ...but for the Belgian GP

F1 cars today looks less ugly than 2008, but still are ugly. Here in Brazil Rubens is motive of jokes, and few peoples here knows that he's a great driver, Schumy uses to race with his Ferrari with Rubens regulations, few people here knows it. I don't think that he could be champion, but may he'll have some victories in this year. And i still prefer the cars from 60's and 70's . . . Cheers. Alexandre

Well I guess I have to admit I haven't been paying much attention to F1 for a few years, so not knowing that Ferrari reverted back to the darker red is understandable. Thanks for the info.
