Finally finished my latest two models up! Here's Lauda and Prost's 1984 McLaren MP4/2's: I added the upgrade kit, mainly for the carbon fiber decals, but also little bits here and there. I did make a mess of the seatbelt, so I used the decals. And while I'm showing McLarens, here's my 1987 MP4/3 cars. Both built a combination of the the Gunze kit, and Hasegawa F3000 kits for interiors, tires, etc. (and an early 1993 Benetton in wet weather tires for good measure.)

Thanks everyone! I picked up some MP4/2C conversion decals, but I think I'll use them for a MP4/2B version first, and hope Beemax does the later car as a kit. It seems like it needs a few more serious modifications than the 1985 car.

Great job, Brian. The McLarens look so nice with the team cars together - both sets! So what did you use for rain tires on the Benetton? That is a nice look for variety in F1 models.

Thanks! The rain tires were from a UK based eBay seller with the id 5_Diamonds. He sold Tamiya kits and tons of decals, details, and optional parts for them. They were solid cast resin, and required a bit of grinding to make work, but they really make the Benetton look nice.
