This is going to be a high detailed build of Kevin Cogan's Phoenix winner! Using Michael's new March 86c upgrade parts which are currently being developed and manufactured in the sweatshops of Classic Racing Resins. Now there's going to be some real strict rules for this thread!!!!! You can't make any jokes about Coogan. You can't bring up the 1982 Indy start. You can't talk about the 1982 Michigan 150 crash with AJ You can't ask why I'm building a Cogan car. If anyone does I'll run off and cry and quit the forum! The Phoenix winner had the HUGE Box Kite rear wing - it was cool!

I think it's a good choice... it's not like you were doing an Ed Pimm car*
*inside joke - I'm doing an Ed Pimm car on commission - nothing against Ed;)

Is it fair game to note that IMO he lost the 500 because he almost Hildebrand'ed turn 4 of the restart, above placing blame on a boost issue?

You can't make any jokes about Coogan. Couldn't the double o be considered the first joke about one-o-Cogan? Interesting start to the build, so we will need to cut the upper nose piece? Jordan

is he any relation to jackie coogan? duane I dont even know who that is! Is it fair game to note that IMO he lost the 500 because he almost Hildebrand'ed turn 4 of the restart, above placing blame on a boost issue? That was Sam Posey's fault for trying to talk to him on the radio before the restart! Which distracted poor Cogan to do a Hilderbrand'ed turn 4!!!!! You can't make any jokes about Coogan. Couldn't the double o be considered the first joke about one-o-Cogan? Hey! My finger mistyped! Interesting start to the build, so we will need to cut the upper nose piece? I guess I don't know what you mean? The only thing I have cut off so far is the AMT fuel tank.....I guess I should have talked more about what I was doing but I was more worried about defending my friend Cogan. My next post will have more of a description of what I'm doing.

jackie coogan was a very early child film star who was mostly remembered as playing uncle fester in the addams family. he actually had a very interesting life if you care to google him.
so what race version are you going to do, calvin? duane

^^^^^^Its black that's for sure! After studying things...I'm pretty sure its bare C/F.....which I'm actually excited about as it will add to the detail of the whole, detailed build. Here is tonight's update. I used one of Michael's Lola front wings and sand down the side just a little bit and it looks awesome! Very easy! I also added apoxie sculpt to the head rest area as the real car didn't have that sharp edge but more of a rounded one. Added some more apoxie sculpt to the center of the undertray where the tank will mount on.....also filled in the turbo inlet and exhaust area on the engine cover. Also cut off the front suspension for easier body work.....like usual I'll pin the suspension back on after the paint job is done.

All I know is that rear wing main plane layout is a lot more deceiving than what it seems from a distance!
