I seem to have never posted this build or even finished photographing it! This is the anniversary of the 1915 Panama-Pacific Exposition here in San Francisco and the Vanderbilt Cup race that was held here! Stutz didn't win but was represented by a 3 car team! I used a MPC Stutz for the model and have it finished, but no pix of it in finished condition. I'll take some later and post the finished model. It's huge compared to a Bugatti T35 so Michael's Marimon must be huge, too! Patrick

Great looking model. Could you imagine doing 500 miles at Indianapolis back in the day with no power steering. Flipping over the walls, no fire suits, no real safety gear just a leather helmet and googles. Also to boot about 30 to 40 other cars on the track. Again very nice build.

Of course come to think about it I can't imagine racing with all the technology and safety they have now a days going 240+ with 32 other cars. Amazing people they are for sure. So if you happen to read this say a short prayer for all those who race and for all those who have gone before us in the racing community.

I should imagine that one of the good thing about moving EVERYTHING is finding where you put all the stuff you had packed away! Beautiful, clean build! --Frank

Thanks for the acknowledgements. I wish there was a 1/24 Mercer Raceabout. Or maybe a Fiat Mephistopheles!
