Jim Crawford, appears to be the paint scheme for the "California Coolers" team from the 84 season.

1983 March 83c at Laguna Seca. Unripened yellow for the colors.

I have a bunch of photos of the 84C that the Califonia Cooler team ran throughout the 1984 season with various drivers - Gary Bettenhausen, Emmo, Kenny Acheson and John Paul, Jr., to name a few. If you like, I'll try to post them, they're on my hard drive so I will have to figure out a way of uploading them to the forum first!

Gary Bettenhausen made his own tunnels for this car, which got airborn at Michigan International Speedway in an accident with Howdy Holmes.
pretty funny stories about this machine, as Gary was a world class "tinkerer.", Not like Robin Heard didn't know what he was doing!

LOVE to see all those photos. My favorite story about this car is from Phoenix. Late in the year, after several different guys drove the car, Paul Diatlovich had a pit board made which read "Driver Of The Week".

man, I love seeing all of these paint schemes I've never seen before.
We should try to start a gallery with a photo of every car from say, 1980 through today, organized by year.
I bet there are a ton of other paints I've never seen from the early 80's. Especially Indy 500 DNQ's over the years.
