My Name is Andy Caldwell and from the title of my thread I live in Rockledge Florida. I've been modeling since I was a kid (a long time ago) and I took a 13 year hiatus from modeling staring in 1980 until 1993 which I have been building ever since.
For many years built muscle and nostalgic drag cars and in the last several years I've been building small (1/43 scale) vintage road racing and F1 cars.
In the last year I have discovered vintage Indy cars and realized what interesting cars they are. I'm a member of another forum and I got a chance to meet a couple of members (racerbrown and sandysixtyfan) of this forum at various model shows who encouraged me to come to this forum. I hope I can learn a lot from you all and apply it to my own builds.
As for what I have built recently.. I just finished a 1/43 1967 Gurney-Weslake Eagle F1 and last year a 1/43 scale 1979 Ferrari 312 T4. Both are white metal kits and were a lot of fun to build.
On the workbench I have a 1963 Parnelli Jones Watson Roadster with all the indycals resin (nosecone & tires), vacuformed windshield, and indycals replacement decals. Which I will be posting a ton progress pictures shortly..
