As there have been several WIPs on this subject this will be more in the nature of some revisions I am making to the basic kit. First I ground away inside so the interior could be centered. Then I added a small panel over the front part of the exhaust opening. Photos of the actual car seem to show that Gurneys car used slide throttles. I'm going to use a set from the MPC Gurney-Weslake engine. Finally for now, the rear track (61 inches on the real car) needed to be increased on the model by about 5 mm.

Very interesting. I just got one of these and want to build it soon, so this is and will be most helpful.

A 60's Eagle is just such a special thing. Very nice start, will be excited to see this one being built up.

Is this cool or what? I am glad to learn about the 5mm correction and your solution is masterful. I have this kit so I am following your every step. Thanks so much for sharing. You are doing a great job. Jim

You can buy this kit from Gary. Check "openwheellegends" on ebay, or contact Gary at 416 265 6430. Gary is in Canada, so that might be an international for you.

I know the business thing. Sometimes I see a WIP that's like a good book you can't put down, this was one of them. I hope the business included some summer fun.

Good news- bad news: Good- Summer visitors gone, related sweeping, cooking etc done. Bad- In the busyness I seem to have lost some progress shots of the Eagle. Here is what I can show now. Taking a page from my Kuzma build, I cut the floor into three pieces and left the part under the seat while filling seams on the others. I decided on a svelte, symmetrical look so no extra tank. Also had problems with the outer windshield so not using it- just the inner one. I sorta like it better anyway. I need to order from Indycals and do some details then it's a wrap.

Thanks. I did use Calvins parts. They are very nice but I sorta bungled the job. As stated, I'm ok with it.
