While struggling to build the metal bodied 156, I decided to see if Revivals plastic bodied kits are any better. I had this in the stash and pulled it down to give it a try.
The kit seems to be the same as the metal ones, but most of the parts are molded in plastic. There are still some metal and brass parts, but you don't get all the bells and whistles. One of the big let downs is that those beautiful wire wheels are now in plastic.
The instructions seem to be a mishmash. Some assemblies are not covered at all, while others are kinda glossed over. Not at all like the metal kits. In fact, the instructions are almost useless.
Anyway, I don't have any photos of the start of the build, but I thought I'd show you the finished chassis.
The detail of the chassis is quite impressive, even though it's simplified in the plastic kit.
I also have the body in paint. I used the same Krylon "Ultra" paint I used on the 156.
