1/25 1980 Chaparral Indy 500 winner

Hi, I have had this old Jorgensen kit in my stash for around 10 tears or so, and the reason that I never worked on it was because I could never get any details for the back end of the car. I knew that it wasn't just a flat plate.


Just recently, I asked for help on this forum and members posted the info that I needed for it. Thanks to all who posted photos. Here are a few photos of my build. I hope they are useful. I'm having trouble getting Photobucket to work. I hope they post O.K. Howard.

I couldn't get the most important photo to work, but it showed that I just ground away the tunnel or box area and created a new one from sheet styrene and blended it in with putty. The equipment inside of the box was gathered from the scrap box. I don't know just what the aluminum housing located just above the starter motor tube is, but on various photos of the rear of the car, it sometimes slants upward and other times it slants down. Does anyone know what this component is? Thanks Wrencher.
