Buddy Lazier in 1/64

Here's Buddy's 2014 Indy 500 ride. It's a little incomplete sponsor-wise - the decal sheet was lacking. I was able to use some Phillips decals from the 2013 car, but the front wing endplates and the rear wing are incomplete. I had to make the orange and purple bits on the rear bumpers myself. All my reference photos were from the internet. Usually I can get some raceday pics from my recording of the race, but Buddy's car only appeared on the screen once, as the cars formed up for the start of the race. I hope the charity that he was driving for got lots of local exposure, cause they sure didn't get any from the broadcast.

Very nice. I can't imagine masking in that scale. At my age (see Calvin's post) I'm not sure I can see anything in 1/64.

PM a guy here named LazierFan, he is our resident Lazier expert. He should have better references.

Nice work on this one. The bumpers looks like they were factory installed (actually even better). How many more do you have from the 2014 500 left to do?

I am currently working on this in 1/18. If you need reference pictures I have them.

Thanks guys. I've still got six or seven to go before the field is complete. I'm not sure if I'll have them done before this years race.
It's not that I don't have good reference material for Buddy's car - I don't have the correct decals.
I was just commenting that he didn't get any TV coverage.

I'm a fan of Buddy, but lets face it, he really did not rate much coverage. You can't get results with the program they have had lately.

What decals are you missing? I did the original design (not this one they ended up going with) and have all of the logos from the car in 2013 and 2014.

Thanks for asking.
I'm missing the white "speed" logos with the red lightning bolts on the rear bumpers, the big white "Phillips" logo for the main plane of the rear wing, the blue Phillips logos for the front wing endplates, the black Hemelgarn (sp) logos on the engine cover, and whatever the white logos are on the horizontal, dark blue sections of the front wing endplates.
On a side note, I'm missing the rectangular white Indy inspection stickers for virtually every car, as well as all the driver names that appear on either side of the cockpit. (except of course for the sets I've gotten from you).
I would gladly pay a premium price for a sheet with all the names and 33 sets of inspection stickers. I'm sure that Terry would buy a set as well. The models just don't seem complete without them.
