Would have finished sooner but I wasn’t well last week. A pretty quick, simple kit and I built it mostly box stock. I did vary from the kit some in the cockpit. The kit seats are in five separate pieces. Period photos show the seats as having a one piece covering so I built the seats, then used Apoxie Sculpt Modeling Compound to fill the gaps. I used RB Motion Button Head Cap Screws (0.046” dia.) for upholstery buttons (#71 drill bit). If you ever build this kit, the most critical step (other than narrowing the belly pan) is probably installing the axle fairings between the body and the wheels. If you don’t get these on level you will most likely get tricycling wheels. And just like the real car, the steering doesn't work!!! kip

This looks terrific, Kip. Good on you and thanks so much for sharing. I really appreciate your tip about the seat and I envy you those snaps. I will also be careful with the wheel fairings. I hate the dreaded tricycle pose but end up it every once in a while. Jim

Very, Very, Nice!.... great paint work, and good job at identifying and finding a solution to the issues of the kit.
Well done my friend!

Kip, you knocked it out of the ballpark with this. Especially with the bends of the grille and the upholstery buttons.

In retrospect, I think I would use the next smaller size of Button Head Cap Screws for the upholstery snaps.

Great job. Kip. You just keep pumping out winners. In my experience, hindsight is always 20-20.
