That's a nice clean looking BRM, Patrick. So very nice looking that you are almost in disbelief that this once was a glue bomb. Interesting to see a BRM of this vintage, I haven't seen this one before.

Paty,
Very nice! I would have like to see a WIP, sio I could see hpow you disassemble it, refurbished the parts, then put it back together..
BTW, I love glue bombs and parts cars, my friends in my club call me the "Junkman"
Cheers, Ian

That BRM looks sweet. I had thought all the 50s BRMs were dark green. Nice MC-72. That airplane still holds the propellor driven seaplane speed record at 440 mph. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Macchi_M.C.72

I love the MC-72! This is a 1/144 airplane model, saves space! I also came across this famous photo of Han Hermann(?) watching the car destroy itself after having a wheel collapse at the Nurburgring IIRC. He walked away! Patrick

Thanks Calvin. I really knew that, but forgot it anyway! I did the car because Moss drove it. Not one of my favorite drivers, but an amazing driver non the less.

Patrick I remember reading an interview with Herman and he was asked how it was he was on his hands and knees, watching the car flipping so wildly. His answer was to the effect that he was rolling and tumbling himself, just as crazily as the car was, but that the photo just caught him at the right moment in the rolling he was doing.

The prevailing wisdom in those days was that you were more likely to survive if you jumped from a crashing car. "Thrown clear of the crash." That photo shows that they may not have been entirely wrong!

Looks great. Also love old 1950's and 1960's F1 cars mainly in 1/24th scale but also in 1/43rd and 1/12th scale.
