As the Novi's are almost done and since its freakin' freezing cold outside I got the urge to build the Hot One! and plus I love Pizza I haven't had Domino's in a very long time....I hear they improved but I remember the last time I had it back in 2004 is was cardbord. I dont know guys, I think I'm too young to be building old roadsters? I think I should be building these Carbon Fiber rear engine space age jobs? One thing I've noticed in life is that most people don't build cars that raced prior to when they are born....so does that mean I'm weird for building cars older than 1987? I feel sorry for the 1990 race as it doesn't have any historical milestone anymore ever since TK won the 2013 Indy 500 and took the fastest race away from 1990. A few years ago I typed up a huge wanted ad begging for this 1990 Lola and I got a response from racewrench87 and he was nice enough to sell me the 90 Lola and his 92 Galmer as well! I feel bad that I haven't got these built yet as I said I would.....So here we go! Of course its a Bill J. body and I'm thinking its a mid 90's production by the type of resin used. I got the Photo etched wheel covers from our Brazilian friend schnauzer....which they are very nice and so is he. I'm using donor parts from an AMT Lola. Like always the first thing we always do is clean with oven cleaner or tire bleach to get any contaminants off.....Normal practice for any resin kits. Then we used one of those green scratch pads and stuff up the surface to get it all tacked up to where you see NO light reflection as you want the paint to have something to stick to.....this very important!!!!!!!!! always scuff your bodies!!!! but other than that we just need to Avoid the Noid!

Looks good, still wish the '90 winner was a PC19 Overall, for the quality and speed of Lola cars over the years, them only having two wins is really quite stunning. The shoulda/coulda/woulda years for Lola (off the top of my head) include 1987, 1991, 1992, 1993, and 1996. Glad to see you feel like building, that's reassuring! Jordan

Using Apoxy Sculpt I roughly added in the head rest...using my dull x-acto knife and some water to keep the putty from sticking....after it dries I'll clean it up. Using an AMT Lola Trans-axle I test fit it and cut a bunch of stuff off and super glue it in place and since nothing up front will ever be seen I added some putty to help hold it down EVEN more to the under tray. I got rid of that head shield on top of the AMT trans-axle. And I glue down the under tray to the body.
