Calvin wanted more WIPs...so here you go. I've been struggling for more than an hour trying to figure out the lines to cut on this one. I don't know why I've done tons of 2013 Rahal cars I should know how to do them by now lol. Oh well I'll try again tomorrow.

Oh my gosh! How are you going to pull off the gloss Blue and Flat black?
Becuase you'll have to apply the decals over a gloss black and then spray flat clear over the decals...(Apply water slide decals on a flat surface doesn't look right so you'll have to reverse engineer your paint job)
This is going to be confusing..... I THINK you'll have to mask off the blue and spray the black flat clear then go back and add the white decal line afterwards because you cant mask over decals without ripping them off.
EDIT: Oh nevermind about the white decal line....I now see that you are painting the line on which would be the way to go.

The separating line looks to be chrome!? Is that right? Look behind the front tire, it is more reflective than just white. I mean, you can do it white. ...but is it?
This is a good looking car, Juan. Looking forward to your work on it.

Lay on the blue & white, clear coat that, then cover those & lay on the satin or flat black. Seems pretty straight forward.

Yeah its not white...wish it was would be easier. It's chrome. I'm cutting out the part for the color chrome blue. I'll mask off the blue and chrome spray the black apply decals then apply dull coat. Hopefully that'll work out.

Btw -- It actually wasn't "chrome" just a silver vinyl, and it was actually pretty flat. Here is a better picture (right click, save to view at full resolution) The plan was to make it look like the actual Blu eCig. It does have a much shinier chrome finish, but it wasnt super "chrome" like the McAfee car or anything. Let me know if you want other photos. I have a bunch from the test when they ran the Indy road course back in the fall 2013 with this livery.

If this car doesn't have chrome then I'm not gonna use one of my chromed cars for it. I'll just use silver, shoot. In every picture I have it looks chrome. Steve got me a lot of good pictures so I'm good on that part.

Great project. I was in the Rahal garage for qualifying. I ate breakfast with Oriol and Graham was hanging out with his girlfriend. It's hard to eat with your jaw on the floor. She is smoking!

Don't waste one of your expensive chrome cars on this. It was 100% a wrap and it was not nearly like the Dragon chrome cars. Not worth it. Use some Alcad or Model Masters Chrome if you want, but dont waste a good professional chromed car.

The aircraft section of our used-to-exist local hobby shop had chrome aircraft skin. Might be worth looking into. It was gum-backed, and could be cut like vinyl into thin strips. Used it when I couldn't get Bare Metal foil, which might be worth considering, as well. -- Frank

Graham said it was chrome but since it's a small bit I think I'll use something else. Stu I envy you!

Try BMF, mostly straight lines.
