The first meeting of the Dowriver society of Indy car modelers was held on Monday at the Denny's in Riverview Michigan. It was attended by myself and gunpilotvet (aka Jim Zook). We plan to meet once a week if possible with the goal being to actually finish some of the models we have started! We are also in the process of putting together our first newsletter. Hope to have it out sometime next week. The picture below proves that we did get together and we did have some Indy Car models to discuss. Hope the picture doesn't break your monitor! Did you have the new "Octo-mom" breakfast at Denny's?
Eight eggs, No sausage and everyone else in the resturant pays for it!

Tim hoodwinked me into this. I thought we were going to have breakfast and talk about models. Now I am forced to actually finish some of my projects. I think the first by-law in this club should be that if someone does react badly to eggs they should be made to go outside and look in through the window without and I stress without leaving a nose grease smear on the window. This is embarrassing to the other members, er, member, and is likely to have us banned from Dennys.

Looks like fun! When I get back to Indianapolis...one of the first places I go with Bob Clidinst is Denny's for breakfast. All we do is talk Indy and models...and some times model cars too.

Hey Ziggy, where did you eat? I used to hang around Brownsburg years ago when I went to the 500. Even went to Harley's before they turned that corner into another drug store. I agree with Duane, lunch with those guys would be a blast. BTW, how's Larry's health? Didn't he fight cancer some time back?
