Hello Everyone, Greetings from the land of OZ. I am located just outside Melbourne. Married with one teenage daughter. I started off with a few Tamiya F1 cars when I was a kid. Over the years they were lost / destroyed in various moves. A couple of years ago, a local hobby shop had some of them as a deceased estate clearance. I took the oportunity to pick them up, and it all started again. I have added to my stocks, and while searching for some fill in decals for a couple of the kits, I came across the Indycals site. Poking around there, reminded me how much I used to love watching the Indy 500 back in the 80's and early 90's when it was on TV here. So as a consequence, I now have a number of Indy car kits as well! Like most modellers, I can collect faster than I can build. As yet I have not started any of the kits, but hope to begin soon when I get my work bench cleared of all the other junk on there (I do model trains as well) I have been lurking around as a guest for a while, and I must say that I am impressed not only with the quality of the modeling on this site, but also the generally helpful attitude of it's members. Some other forums of which I am a member (not car related), seem more like the worst of social media, with a bunch of 12 year olds arguing in the playground and achieving next to nothing. Hence I very rarely bother with them anymore. Keep up the great work Cheers Mark

Good to have you on board, Mark. I think we all have that buy-faster-than-we-build syndrome here.

Great to have you. Feel free to jump right in and build. We have all types here: new guys, experienced builders, and master craftsman all co-existing along side each other.
I agree that online interactions overall have become a huge conduit for negativity. We do try to keep this place from falling into the same destructive cycles. Always great to add people that understand and want to add to what we all have worked so hard to make here.

Welcome Mark. This an awesome place, the skills, passion for the hobby and open wheel racing, and character of it's members are the best you'll find anywhere. And Jordan is way to modest, he does a fabulous job as administrator.

Welcome to a jolly good group of fellows, smart and talented. They seem to disagree only on the hue of color of an obscure racer. Really though you won't be sorry for joining us. Patrick
