Late Model Modified Camaro!!!!

OK not a Open Wheel Car but it does run on Only Oval Tracks, I found this resin caster , T J's Custom Casting a few years back and decided to order this 1/24 Late Model Modified Camaro kit, although relatively for a resin kit $50.00 I was amazed when I received it, the chassis is very well cast almost like a 3D print part.

as is the fine suspension arms and associated suspension pieces. The body is also well done but does have a slight grainy feel. I did sand the roof and it smoothed right out.




The tires and wheels came in a super smooth black resin and look like a plastic kit part. this a future project that I am still researching and plan on going to "Mohave Speedway" here in Bullhead City Az. to watch them race and take pics. The only parts needed to complete the basic car is a Spring car engine, which I have sitting here. I also plan on ordering several of the really well made Dirt Modeler photoetch sets to really detail this one up.. T J's doent make this kit any more but I would bet if you emailed him he would cast one for you. My experience with their customer service has been extremely Good.. Chris

Oh my, do we need to educate you in the short-track car classes! That's a Late Model, Modifieds are very different. Also, a 358 Modified and an IMCA Modified are totally different as well! Proceed immediately to the nearest dirt oval and pay attention! Just kidding, the short oval classes are pretty confusing to a newcomer! TJ's stuff is great, haven't bought anything in a while but will again. Oh yeah, the sprint motor wouldn't be legal in that car with the fuel injection, they run carbs! If you need any help with the dirt stuff, please don't hesitate to ask!

This is a cool looking kit, and would fill in the "odd duck" category in my collection (!)

Late Model for sure. They put on some great races down in the Southern States, and Scott Bloomquist has been at the top of the heap for quite sometime (although I don't think he has run as good the past four years or so)

I think your going to have to open up that right rear wheel arch as it looks really small. It screams for a Monster Energy Drink motif!
